Kokoda Memorial Walk
It’s been a really long time since I did a trip over to Mount Dandnenong to visit the Kokoda Memorial Track. So I decided to add an event on our Meetup group to see if anyone else would be interested and it turns out to be a strong and big group.
I must say that even the walk up to the 1,000 steps track provide you with the challenge as your heart rate goes up and you start breathing really heavily.
It took us about 40 minutes to reach the top of 1,000 steps for a rest and regroup. As a group we decided to return via a 5km circuit back to the car park. We stopped over at the cafe to shout ourselves with desserts and coffees.
It was so amazing to meet new people who like the idea of getting out with nature and get some exercise at the same time. Really easy and open minded people make the day more fun.
